Local Activities

There are some excellent waves nearby, so surfing is definately a must during the winter to autumn seasons (and even in summer, but smaller). The area is a fishing haven with great rock, beach and deep sea fishing opportunities. Local activities can also include whale watching, deep sea charters , scuba diving, canal and river cruises (which are great for sundowners) and fynbos hiking trails in the surrounding areas. The lighthouse is also a historic feature of Cape St Francis and worth visiting, as well as the charming port with it's quaint shops and restaurants.
