About this Accommodation

Whether your dream be flying down the line in perrrfect surf at the point, watching lions on a game drive, or simply collecting seashells on our dolphin-rich coast, we aim to turn your dreams into treasured memories.

Ubuntu means 'a sense of community', and our house is more a home-away-from-home than a hostel. Guests enjoy alot of freedom, and always leave as friends. Your hosts are a young couple who have travelled extensively, and we know that the further you can stretch your money, the longer/more you can travel on your trip.

At Ubuntu all guests enjoy:

FREE ADSL Internet
FREE tea/coffee
Laid-back vibe
Beautiful View

Add to this that we are under a minute to the beach, close to surfshops and supermarkets and situated in a quiet cul-de-sac. Ubuntu is ideal for surfers, nothing better than checking the surf from the comfort of your chair/hammock!

Breaks
Occy in his former heyday ruled this spot for extended periods of the surf season.
The clean, mean, green jewel of South Africa.
Some excellent peaks along the beach.
As you enter Jeffreys Bay, there are a number of spots surfed by locals and little by anyone else.
The reef slightly around the corner from Supers.
Further down from Supers, past Impossibles, Salad Bowls and Tubes, lies the Point.
At the end of Impossibles lies a short barrelling section called Salad Bowls.

Perhaps South Africa's longest and most consistently good wave, with power and quality, barring one or two pointbreaks in the Kei or West Coast.
