Hey Lost Blogger! Thanks for the comment. Yes, unfortunately I just wrote about a fatal shark attack that occurred in the Southern Cape this past weekend. Mind you, it was the first one in more than 20 years, but still, such a heartbreaking story. So no matter where you choose to surf, be safe out there!

Thanks for commenting Rob! Sorry that your fave didn’t end up with the title. But maybe you’ll derive consolation from the fact that Adin agreed that the competition was stiff and that it could have been anyone’s victory. It’s a cool contest though! Hopefully Chris will try again!

When travelling in Australia I was surprised how relaxed about the shark danger most Austalians seemed to be. I would never go in the water expecially in the south where they have many Great White sightings!

I’m always pleased to see the locals take charge of events such as this. But is this due to poor participation from other regions? Or are the locals really that good? Either way, I’m pleased.
